This question may be related to a resolved thread.
Why do I need to turn throttling off: Maximum Number of Page Loads is 100?

    ramonekalsaw,

I am not quite sure why it was triggered in the first place.
If you turn it back on what happens?

When I turn it back on I get this error message again:

You have exceeded the allowed page load frequency.

Note: This is happening in both EE 1.x and 2.x on MAMP. I have throttling on for my live 1.x install on Engine Hosting and no problem.

    ramonekalsaw,

I really can’t say why it is triggering on your local environment. It is tough to troubleshoot for that reason.
You know it works in your live environment so just keep the setting off and it should have no impact on your development of the local site.
