I know the standard response to previous questions of this nature referred the asker to Solspace’s User module, but I’m hoping for a little something different since User is both far more than I need and not at all what I need.

First of all, it’s a WoW guild website so money is an issue. Secondly, I don’t want to mess with sending out invitations via email. What I’m looking for is the ability to just add a couple or three pre-defined invitation codes that are required when a member registers.

Any ideas or little pointers to the right direction?
