    Hey guys,

Just a quick post to introduce my new site.

Originally all my addons were hosted on leevigraham.com which over time became a little bloated and hard to manage. The announcement and release of EE2 was the perfect opportunity to break the link between what was my personal site and create a new dedicated domain for our (Newism’s) EE2 Addons and other developer community contributions.

So after many many months I’ve finally released a new site to house all my new EE 2.1 addons! It’s been a long road to first port the EE1 addons to EE2, design the site, test and eventually build it. I’m pretty stoked it’s finally launched.

    Some specs about the site:

    - It’s running EE 2.1 (possibly one of the first) sites to do so.
    - Uses over 20 EE2 addons including addons from Pixel and Tonic, Solspace and Low + a few of my own
    - Sales are powered by EE’s simple commerce module, PayPal and a SCM utils addon I wrote (contact me if you want to know more about that)
    - HTML5
    - Ticketing / support system built with SAEF forms

We’re launching with 8 addons (5 FREE, 3 commercial) and 2 utilities (both FREE).  Here’s a run down of the new addons:

    - NSM Better Meta ( was LG Better Meta)  - $39.95: SEO Meta and XML sitemap generator
    - NSM Live Look (was LG Live Look) - $24.95: Preview entires before publishing from the CP
    - NSM Transplant (was LG Replace) - $24.95: Cache and transplant tag output for multiple use elsewhere in your templates.
    - NSM TinyMCE (was LG TinyMCE) - Free: The only free Matrix compatible WYSIWYG custom field for ExpressionEngine 2.
    - NSM .htaccess Generator (was LG .htaccess Generator) - Free: Easily remove index.php from your URLs.
    - NSM Addon Updater (was LG Addon Updater) - Free: Keep up-to-date with the latest addon releases.
    - NSM Body Class - Free: Template styling without messy conditionals.
    - NSM Publish Hints - Free: Custom field instructions on steroids.
    - NSM Config Bootstrap - Free: One config bootstrap file for multiple deployment environments.
    - NSM Morphine CP Theme Tweaks - Free: Visual tweaks for the Control Panel. Style and script support for NSM addons.

I hope you enjoy the site and the new addons.

Really like what you have done with the site, at first I thought it was a bit too minimal but the longer I read the content the more it works.

Also some really good stuff in there, will be adding NSM Morphine CP Theme, NSM Config Bootstrap, NSM Publish Hints, NSM .htaccess Generator, NSM Body Class to all my installs now.

Thanks for making EE a little easier to use.

Thanks Ryan, Glad you like it.

Keeping the site minimal was a big goal for me for a couple of reasons:

    1. To make it easier to develop, turns out making something minimal and communicate effectively is actually quote hard.
    2. The amount of documentation. I knew there would be heaps and my concern that an overly designed site would make digesting the content hard.

Expect more tweaks and addons in the near future.

Have to say maybe a little too minimal for me! but that is purely down to individual taste as it clearly does look good and is very functional.

The CP Morphine looks like something i thought was very much needed - looks like it makes much more efficient and professional use of the CP. Thanks NSM team.

I like the look of the old site much better….this one looks more like a personal blog or newspaper and too ‘gridded’...content aligned left?!  #FF0099 - what happened here, EE2 CP and Veerle influence? 😊

My preferences on a side, congrats I am sure it feels great to separate the logic of the two sites.
You make some fine addons so keep it up and congrats on the milestone!

Does live look support Structure yet?

LiveLook has always supported Structure and the Pages module.

I’ve never been able to get it to work with static pages in structure. Do you have any documentation as it relates to structure?

Also, the language in the description on your site is confusing. It states:

“Problems with the current Live Look implementation include:

      2. No Pages Module support.”

That seems to say there is no pages module support.

Does live look support Structure yet?

LiveLook has always supported Structure and the Pages module.

I’ve updated the copy to say: “Problems with the native Live Look implementation include” which should clarify that point. NSM Live Look supports Pages and therefore Structure.

Sweet, dude.  It was difficult for me to figure out if certain add-ons were EE2 compatible or not with the old implementation.  This is nice.  I appreciate it!

    Thx Leevi!

I have used so many of your add-ons in 1.6+ and can now continue doing so in 2.1 - awesome!!

    Cheers,

I think the new site is lovely. I can’t see anything that I would personally improve on. It’s also nice to see a site that’s left aligned too, unlike most of the other sites out there. Can’t wait to try out Morphine!

Curious about the ticketing system; is it just a method of collection, or have you built it up to handle responses, etc.? Absolutely stellar work, through and through.

    Hey Leevi -

Congrats on the launch. That mean it’s time for a new hat? 😉

I am curious about the SCM Utils you mention - I use SCM on Train-ee and have been mildly pondering a move to something a bit more robust.
