I can upload through the file manager, but clicking the upload button from a file fieldtype in the publish screen seems to do nothing in IE7.

What version and build are you using? Any extensions? Does this only affect IE7, ie does it work with other browsers?

This is on v2.0.2pb01, haven’t been able to upgrade to 2.1 yet.

I disabled all extensions and any 3rd party addons.

Works in Firefox, Safari, as well as IE8.

timkelty and keston, can you please both upgrade to EE2.1 to see if issue persists.

I just upgraded a site to 2.1 and it’s exhibiting 2 issues when I click the add file button in IE7:

    1) browser scrolls to bottom of the window when the file modal appears.  this is more of an annoyance

    2) file browser seems to work, I can choose a file to be uploaded, but nothing happens when I click the Upload button.

Uploading works properly in Firefox & Chrome

    keston,

Can you please completely delete your /themes/cp_themes directory and re-upload it from the EE 2.1 package, clear your browser caches, and then log in again?

    Brandon,

I deleted & replaced /themes/cp_themes, cleared browser cache and there has been no change.  IE7 file uploads still don’t work

We just pushed a client site live with 2.1 and are seeing the same problem. Is there a pre-existing bug report logged for this…? Also, any idea as to when we can expect a fix - my client is not allowed to install other browsers (boo) so obviously this is going to be a bit of an issue. :/

Thanks Nathan. As this bug is confirmed, I’ll go ahead and close this thread. Please keep an eye on the bug report for further updates. In the meantime, there’s always Firefox Portable.  😉
