I want to disable embed cache

I can’t seem to find the solution for this.  I’m using EE2.0.

I have a template that embeds another template a couple times.  The embeded template uses the rand() function in PHP.  What happens is I end up getting the same rand number for each embed which suggests to me that it’s using a cached version.

Both the first template and the embeded template appear to have caching disabled (Enable Cache? No is selected).  Is there somewhere else I need to check to disable this?  Certainly we’ll want some cache used here and there but for this particular template I need to turn it off.

Hi, twhed - What exact version of EE are you using?  Is it 2.0, the trial version?

The current version of ExpressionEngine is v2.0.2 Build 20100712

It’s a licensed copy and is probably still the beta version (just noticed today that 2.1 is out but haven’t upgraded yet).

I do not see a license on your account. Can you please email sales so that we can get that straightened out.  You can read more about this in our support policy: http://expressionengine.com/support/support_policy

    Thank you!

Yes this is my personal account, I work for a company that has the licensed version.

Do I need to get on here and post with the company account in order to solve this issue?  (I was thinking this was more of a… there’s an option that will fix everything that I’ve overlooked, rather than this is a technical issue that you only support for purchasers)

If you read though the support policy ot explains how to get support as a developer on a licensed site.  Thanks!
