Im sure other people have this problem but is there any way to turn off the option of members urls in their profiles and in fact anything the spammers can use to link back to their sites. I have a forum running and get countless numbers of spammers joining just to get their links online.

Adam,
Yes, you are able to remove the URL field from the member profile templates where necessary. On EE1 the file you’ll want to edit is /themes/profile_themes/default/profile_theme.php.
