I have EE 1.6.9 and the Discussion Forum 2.2.0

I normally have no problem getting in to my EE control panel, but now I cannot get in. I remember my username and password well, and I have it backed up using a password program called “Roboform”. One of two responses come back:  the login page just refreshes, or it tells me that I’ve submitted the wrong password.  When I indicate that I have forgotten my password, I follow the instructions but in the end, I get the name and login information for a fictitious character in my forum.  The email address is the same as the fictitious name in the forum (I was testing the forum).

I still have access to the files on the server and in my backup on my computer.  Can this information be found in one of my files?  If not, do you know how I can reset it?

Is the this the forgot password link in your CP login page? Have you tried clearing your browser cache and cookies and restarting it? Take Roboform out of the equation and manually type what you received in your forgot password email

Can you confirm this? You are using your SuperAdmin account for a fictitious member in your forum for testing? You cant have 2 members with the same email address.
