Getting EE Discussion Forum to Display

OK, I’m a newbie.  The latest discussion module is installed and I’ve created a couple of categories and forums.  When I hit “Visit Forums”, I get a 404 page (The webpage cannot be found).

It seems clear that there is a url problem.  In the default settings, the url looks OK.  I’ve tried several variants of the url that might make sense, but nothing.

Anybody have a clue what I’ve forgotten to do or haven’t learned yet?

What version and build of both EE and the forum module are you using? Do you’ve got a link?

    EE is 1.6.8
    Discussion Forum is 2.2.0

    What link do you mean?

A link to your forum / site so we can see this four ourselves. If you are using Forum 2.2.0 you should probably be using EE 1.6.9. I recommend an upgrade.
