I have a site for a school that trains homeopaths. They needed a CMS, not a LMS, but they would like to be able to post some information for individual students on a single page. Is there a way to do this in Expression Engine?

The membership module is already set up so that students as a group have access to information just for that group.

You can use ‘memeber profile’ page with custom fields or build a weblog where they can have an entry dedicated to each student.

Is there some place I can find information on what syntax I can use to restrict the info that shows? I’ve implemented group-access pages, but I can’t find anything about seeing only the info for the particular individual who’s logged in.

A weblog would be the ideal solution. Then faculty could have several pieces of info for each student.

Depends how you want to show it…based on what logic? if logged in or member groups restrictions.
See this thread for some ideas on weblogs as additional info on members.

Logic would be that there would be a weblog with a field for a faculty evaluation for each student for each class. When the student is logged in, the link to that page, with only their own personal evaluations, shows up.

I think I can figure out all of it except how to link the individual to the weblog information for the individual. That’s the part I don’t see offhand. Is it possible with the existing set of EE tools or would it need some complex custom programming?
