Is it possible to include a variable in the Admin Notification of New Member Registration email template that tells the admin which Member Group they have been added to?

No such variable exists currently. This could probably done with some custom code, but there’s no built-in solution. Please also feel free to make a Feature Request if desired. Thanks.

An extension would be the way to go. I would recommended starting a new thread in the CodeShare Corner
A question first. By default a newly registered memebr is only added the one group you pick via member preferences. Have you added a way for the member to choose a group when registering?
I am not sure I see the relevance of showing the member group in the notification email

I’ll start a new thread in CodeShare Corner.
Yes, I am using Solspace’s User Module with the member choosing what group they will be in. My client wants to make sure they are being added to the correct Member Group primarily because we have been having issues with activation emails not being received (firewall and spam filters…that is obviously not an EE issue).
