    Hi,

I’m creating one site based almost entirely on another.  I’ve followed the procedure for moving EE to a different server (though bought a new licence, obviously) and all is installed fine.

The problem is, if I change the settings in general configuration to match the new location of themes the settings on the old, still live, site change too.

Seems both sites are using the same database.  How do I make the new site use the correct one?

    Thanks.

Look at the config.php for both sites. Do they have the same database connections?

Thanks Sue, I thought it would be something simple like that and even thought I’d checked config.php. Obviously not. Working now.

Glad things are working again. Don’t hesitate to post again as needed.
