I’m getting a weird Aborted process in Firebug:
    http://www.mysite.com/system/index.php?S=0&C=publish&M=entry_form&weblog_id=2 Aborted

This is happening across a number of sites on different servers.

    EE 1.6.8 Build:  20091002

Is there a public link where we can see this occurring? Also, as I’m sure you’d suspect, I recommend a version upgrade to 1.6.9 to ensure all your files are intact and up-to-date.

It’s in the control panel when I publish a new entry from any weblog. Still happens with all extension disabled. This is occurring across multiple sites on different servers. Not sure when it went wrong. It’s a new thing and wasn’t happening before.

    BC Team,

    Have you tried another browser?
Can you delete your cache and cookies from Firefox. Restart it and try again.

If it is across different sites on different servers then most likely a Firefox issue.
Did you upgrade to the latest Firefox release which was available in the last few days?

It’s not browser specific, the error is also there in Safari.

I’m going to have to upgrade an EE install first I guess. I actually get the error across different sites and servers that I have set up. I get the error with extensions off. Maybe I have do disable my plugins too?

The way I set up sites is very similar each time.

    BC Team,

Is this only a recent occurrence. Can you try a different computer on a different network?

Yes, it happens on other computers as it was spotted by someone else in our servers error log. So then I have been looking at all the different EE sites I have set up and they all have it. Different browsers and different computers and different servers. It happens locally too.

Found a work site I set up a while ago running 1.6.7 and it has the same Abort error when publishing.

Just to confirm that this was on a different netweork outside your building?
We have had issues where a firewall has been the issue.

Other than that it is a bizarre one. Do you have any similar add-on across the sites?

I use the same ISP at work and home and so does the other person who has access to the site. If it was the ISPs firewall that would be a weird one. That’s 3 different internet accounts but the same ISP.

Actually not that weird at all. For example South Africa actually have a country firewall where certain users of EE there have issues with logging in.

Can you check your email please

    BC Team,

Can you post a screen shot of what you are seeing regarding the error? I have logged in and gone to Publish -> News Posts but don’t see anything out of the ordinary

    BC Team,

In Firefox my console is blank in Firebug when I goto publish a new post so I cannot replicate what you are seeing. I’m not sure what else to try here only suggest that one of my colleagues tries when they come on shift.
