Really simple question, can someone tell me where in the Control Panel I can find the member group short name?

Try CP Home > System Administration > Members and Groups > Member Groups >  Edit Member Group > Member Group Name.

Thanks for the quick reply.  I tried that, but that displays the full member group name with caps and spaces. 

I’ve dug through the EE docs for a while now and find almost no reference to the member group short name. 

Typically, group id handles most needs, but I’m working with the Geofinder module which, according to their documentation, requires the member group short name.  Since my original post, I got the module functioning with the full member group name and contacted the developer regarding the issue.

I don’t think there is a short name, to be honest. Take a look at exp_member_groups, there’s group_id, site_id, group_title and group_description but no short title.
