Okay, I’ve looked at everything, and I can’t figure this one out.

    1. Basepath to Templates Folder - home/dnacoutu/public_html/system/templates/ (tried with and without trailing slash)
    2. PHP Safe Mode = OFF - I ran a phpinfo echo and found this option to be turned off.
    3. Permissions are 777 - ‘Templates’ folder permissions is set to 777. Recreated and re-set multiple times to no avail.

I tried turning “save as text file” on and off, saving then resaving.

I tried adding a new template group, and save “index” with “save as text file” checked. Fail.

This worked fine for me before I moved hosts this morning. I’m sure it’s something i’m missing on my end…

ALSO: When I uncheck “save as file” and leave only “save revision” checked- I get an “Unable to delete the associated template file

Any thoughts? This has consumed half my day :(

    Hi Dan,

When moving hosts always run the Server Wizard beforehand to avoid major surprises. In any case, another PHP setting to check is whether open_basdir is set or not - if it is, have your host disable it.

I checked, it reads “open_basedir   no value   no value”

    I assume it’s off?

    Yes, that should be fine.

Is there anything in your /system/expressionengine/templates folder? Inside that should be the ‘default_site’ folder, which you can also try setting to 777.

Not sure if this has much to do with it, but I realized I posted this in the general Technical Support, but I am running EE v2.0.1pb01 build 20100215.

I’ve uploaded a jpg for you to see my settings.

I have no files inside the “default_site”(777) folder, which is inside the templates(777) folder.

    Thanks for your replies…

    *RESOLVED*

I put a slash in front of home, I swear I tried this several times before, but I think it was that.

Now I’ll go shoot myself for wasting everybody’s time.

    Thanks Brandon!!
