    Hi there,

I’ve read a couple similar posts but I’m still not completely clear if this is possible.  I’m running v 1.6.9 and I’ve got a weblog (called “static-content”) that is assigned a category group (called “pages”) that contains several categories which I’m using for my secondary navigation, and it’s currently working out pretty great.

However, I was hoping I might be able to alter the category drop-down that appears in the “category” tab when publishing new entries within this weblog.  I was hoping I could get it to change from a “one-to-one” drop down to a “one to many” set of checkboxes or something that allows a user the ability to assign more than one category to an entry.

If possible, I could avoid duplicating entries and just assign one entry to several categories.  If you know of a previous thread on this I would appreciate any links to info, or if I’m missing something that allows for this kind of relationship in some other interface, I’m new to ee so please bare with me!

    Thanks!

Yes, an entry can be classified under multiple categories, you should be able to select more than one on your publishing page.

If you’re not that familiar with multiple select controls, try ctrl+click to select multiple categories.

Awesome!  Sorry, I should’ve tried that before posting.  For some reason I thought it was a dropdown and not just a normal list.  Very cool.
