Hello all.  I’m fairly new to EE.  I was wanting to touch base with the community and see if there was any easy way to create a break in a post with expression engine.  Simply put, I want to post a summary of a post, and an “after the jump” link to the full post.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

Usually you would split the text up in multiple weblog fields, for example:

    - Summary
    - Body
    - Extended

You would show the summary in a listing and the body & extended on the single entry page (or leave out the extended field and just use body).

I believe those are the default fields created when you first install EE 1.6.9.

Hope this cleared things up a bit.

    Greetz,
    Wouter

It all makes sense now.  Thanks for the reply.  I claim jet lag for not thinking of that!
