Last week, I a purchased 1.6.x commercial for my web design company website. I didn’t realize that there is a “freelancer” license for 2.0 which I think I’d qualify for. Can I use my commercial license for a commercial site and buy the freelancer license for for my own site?

Hi, meredithmarsh - you sure can. As long as each license is used on just one live installation, you are fine to move them around as needed.
