I’m getting several notifications a day of new member registrations identified as being from “Constant Contact”. These are clearly spam/hackers.

When I look in my Constant Contact folder they are not there. But they do appear on my EE members page as approved (not pending) members. I require activation of pending members. How do that do that?

I would like to install “captcha” to slow this down. Any ideas about how to do that?

Is that a single site, or are you using the MSM? What version and build of EE are you using? Do you’ve got a link to the site(s)?

    billstranger,

First thing I would do is upgrade to latest version of EE

I require activation of pending members. How do that do that?

If you require activation of pending members then all it takes is to click those activation links in the email sent out after registration.

I would like to install “captcha” to slow this down. Any ideas about how to do that?

    Some info here on CAPTCHAs

    EE Docs : CAPTCHAs

There is a recent article in our blog titled Fighting Registration Spam which gives some great resources and tips.

    Does that help?
