At this time, I am not sure which one is causing problems with 1.6.9. When I tried to upgrade, the backend CP looked alright but the front-end site looked havoc.
What do you mean by havoc?

Many things going all at once on the index page such as:
* Very long index page with most of the static pages showing at once.
* All of the Structure sub-navigation doesn’t show.
* Some of the images don’t show instead they show needle names as in {image_1}, {image_2}, {image_3} etc.
and subsequent pages not loading properly so on.

I also saw that you posted on Solspace’s forum. You’re using their User module, which may be part of the issue.
If you use EE’s registration instead of Solspace’s—do you still have the problem?

I still have the same probleum when I use EE’s registration instead of Solspace’s and visa versa. That’s why I have posted on both forums hoping that either of you could help my situation.

Hi Kim Ryu Hyun,
Is it only one particular address that you are having trouble with? Have you tried other email addresses just to confirm that the front end registration email activation isn’t being sent at all?
Cheers
Greg

I have tried other email addresses but the front end registration email activation isn’t being sent at all.

Hi Kim Ryu Hyun,
Can you please temporarily disable all the extensions by clicking the big green button on the Extensions Manager page - that will keep all the extension settings - and try again.
Cheers
Greg

Hi Greg,
I’ve just tried that but it didn’t make any difference.

Hi Kim Ryu Hyun,
If this is for deuleum.com then it looks like this domain is hosted on Google Apps and not EngineHosting. Is this for a subdomain? Can you explain how the site is setup?
Cheers
Greg

Currently, deuleum.com email is hosted on Google Apps. Also, we are using Google Sites to host our parking page before going live with EH.
We’ve been developing on EH and is about to go live but with the current activation issue it has been with held from going live. I’m planning to redirect deuleum.com domain once I resolve this issue to EH.
However, we plan continue to use Google Apps for deuleum.com email accounts since we are happy with its functionality in general even after going live with EH.
We are currently using temporary deuleum.ehclients.com sub-domain for our dev purposes. The site is template protected from the outside same way as described on this article:

Thanks Sue,
But my site cannot send any activation emails to any email addresses not just to Google Apps email addresses.
And I still can send emails from Communicate tab to any email addresses including my Google Apps email addresses just fine.
However should I request to EH to change my email setting according to that post still?

Yes, can you please try to use an EH server for sending, or perhaps simply use PHPMail?

Thanks Ingmar,
That worked! The good news is now it’s sending activation emails.
However, the bad news is it displays an error page right after submit button without any errors shown as follows:
http://screencast.com/t/NmE4N2M4N
Everything seems to work OK if I can just get to the success page somehow but it displays this error page without any error showing after successfully sending an activation email. What could be the cause here? Any ideas?

Can you try to re-upload your language files? Are you using any packs other than English? The reason why Google won’t work, I think, is that the require an encrypted connection (and reject unencrypted connection attempts) which EE does not support (yet).
