I was wondering if there is any guidelines to how to test EE.  I’ve had two problems that I was unable to solve and so I asked here and one solution was that I should not launch the web page from the template manager, but go to it from another page.  I just had a problem with CAPTCHAs and the solution was to open the page while not logged into the CP!  I’m glad that I have the solution but is there some guide line to how to test this stuff?

OK well I mean I know that I should be testing this stuff with different browsers and everything but I’m not really to the point where I’m trying to fine tune stuff I’m just seeing I can get EE to work.  So is there a general guideline that the pros out there use like logging in from a VM or a separate browser or something else?

This is not really an answer to your question, but if you want CAPTCHA’s to work while logged in go to Admin > System Preferences > Captcha Preferences and change “Require captcha with logged-in members?” to “Yes”.
