    hi
    when i try to create or edit one weblog i get:
    Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 291944 bytes) in /home/sites/zzzzzzzz.co.uk/public_html/zzzzzsys/extensions/ext.mh_file_ext.php on line 213

    i can create and edit all the other weblogs on this site.

    its shared hosting, i can’t increase memory size.

    I have a few EE sites with this host and don’t have this problem.

    Its been working fine for a year.

    thanks

    Fixed.
    tried adding
    RLimitMem 128000000 to htaccess file in public_html folder - didn’t work
    php_value memory_limit 32M to htaccess file in public_html folder - didn’t work

    then searched hosts files (Heart internet) and found that creating a php.ini file with this:
    memory_limit = 32M

    and uploading to root folder, one above public_html

    it worked!

    glad you have this resolved.
    If your with Heart, i would suggest (only if all plugins are compatible) jumping to PHP5 as well. This is also done in the PHP.ini file

    Once PHP5 compatible you can make the most of Brandon Kelly’s field frame, and all those plugins like Ngen File (see your original post for this reference!)
