Hi All, bit of a question on mercurial workflow (again…). I have a remote repository that i use for backup, and i have a local one on my computer that’s used for day to day work. However, ive created a new branch in my repository to contain the latest stable version of my code. My development continues on the default branch. When i attempt to push this to my remote repository, i get a warning saying i have to force the push in order to create my new branch on the remote repo.

A search on google has me fairly convinced that this wont cause any trouble particularly, but im wanting to know if there’s any way around it, or if im setting myself up for any problems?

    Thanks

You might consider doing a pull from the other direction instead, making sure that you have a common parent changeset.
