Site suddenly goes blank

I created a site, everything working as it should, no problems, then suddenly the pages all went blank.

    http://www.beardoftheyear.co.uk (test URL)

I hadn’t changed any settings that I was aware of, just included some javascript in the header - however, removing it made no difference at all. I am completely baffled, as any search on here indicates it tends to happen when changing server space/location of the site. I hadn’t done this at the time!

Any advice would be greatly received 😊

The first thing I would do is to simplify the template drastically.

Start with a simple “hello world”, make sure that displays correctly, then start adding the building blocks of your site.

I tried this (again - I did try previously but wanted to be sure!) and currently the site’s designated index is supposed to say hello and nothing else - it’s still showing the same blank page.

Which version/build of EE are you using? You can see that at the bottom of any control panel page.

That’s the version, the build would be below that. Something like Build:  20100121

OK, that’s a good sign. You mentioned earlier that you were putting in some javascript code which you removed. Are you using any sort of extensions on the site?

Yes, I’m using the gypsy field extension.

I just disabled that, however (and have left it disabled) and it doesn’t seem to make any difference.

Let’s find out if something on the server changed.

Everything’s saying yes next to it, and the database appears to be fine also.

What about an .htaccess file? If there is one, please rename it.

Then make a brand new template with Hello World and see what happens.

Any extensions? Can you login to the backend without any problems?

The backend is absolutely fine, nothing wrong - it’s purely the external pages which aren’t displaying. I have disabled extensions, renamed the htaccess and created that template linked above which is set to say ‘hello world’ and nothing else.
