This question may be related to a resolved thread and resolved thread
After the dozenth attempt to troubleshoot this issue over the past year, I have no resolution. Jquery simply does not function and I found yet another critical add-on that doesn’t work as a result.
In addition to all of the usual suggestions for disabling extensions, I’ve read through and made every effort to apply the suggestions noted in both of the above related links - although I have no idea what this means “mismatch of the file in cp.jquery where the googles api used was 1.7.1 and the one in the jquery admin settings was 1.7.2”
Nothing has made a difference - although I will have to admit to not understanding how disabling all extensions via the big green button helps considering that Jquery for the Control Panel is an extension and once it’s off, you can’t turn it back on. Scratching my head over that.
I also tried disabling extensions, renaming the extension folder, creating a new extension folder and placing within it ext.cp_jquery.php and ext.edit_tab_ajax.php to test whether it would function as expected. Did not work.
In short, I am at a loss and I’ve got a site that is growing by the day with the anticipated launch of a shopping cart in three days and I can’t get new members posting to a mailing list because the add-on requires Jquery to be operational.
I need some ideas and I’m hoping someone can help.
Cheers,
Paul
