OK, I added the cookie domain.

    No change.

I paid for a new EE license on EngineHosting, just as a backup, so I can get around these MSM problems if necessary. I’m just waiting for them to turn it on. . . .

Can you try adding a cookie prefix? I want to rule out any other cookie conflicts.

Can you also try both with User Sessions set to sessions only, and then to cookies only, and see if there are any changes?

I know you have a launch tomorrow. And yes, I’ll be at SXSW. =)

The problem is—ha, ha!—the Mayor of Austin is scheduled to do a press conference announcing this Web site! And they’re going to saturate the Web address at SXSW! So either I have to fix this or tell the Mayor sorry or maybe just move to another city!

    OK, tried that.

    Tried that.

I created a new user and tried logging in with that username and password and got the same thing. User group ID is 3, {username} doesn’t work, SAEF doesn’t show up.

    Sorry!

Can you paste the entire contents of any .htaccess files you have in this folder or any folders above this one?

I think I’m going to have to take a break, and I’m sure you need one too!

Let me see if EngineHosting gets my install of EE up by the morning, and I’ll try that.

If the folks at EngineHosting can help me get MSM working, I’ll just move off the VPS that I bought this week. But in the meantime, I can get the Austin site working as a single site, on a new host, and then take a breather and come back to the other sites.

Thanks for all the work, but it’s Saturday night, and my wife is giving me some really bad glances. . . .

    😊
