    Hello,

    I recently moved a .com site over to a .org site (just dragged the whole directory into a new directory on the server) And everything works fine except I cannot login to the control panel. It’s like it doesn’t even exist (when I go to the correct url I see the homepage). Also, the .org site is located at /home/username/www/website.org/ so it’s 1 directory down from the usual.

    Hope this makes sense to someone - thanks for the help!

    Hi, Garrett. Check the path.php file for the path to the /system directory.. Is it set to what you expect?

    I thought that was the issue but I couldn’t figure it out before so then I second guessed myself. The path is set to its default, ‘./system_folder’ - since the website is in a folder in the root directory I tried ./website_folder/system_folder but it didn’t like that at all.

    If you look at your config.php file, what is set for:

    $conf['cp_url']

    Have you tried to edit that path manually?

    $conf['cp_url'] = "http://website.org/system/index.php";

    I changed .com to .org whenever I made the transfer.

    If you put the path.php file to be ./system, in theory it should work. Are you using any sort of .htaccess settings?

    Try putting a copy of /system/utilities/admin.php in the root, and see if http://example.org/admin.php works for you..

    I am using LG htaccess. On another note - I have never heard of utilities/admin.php AND it worked. Is this thing safe to use for default CP access?

    I don’t normally use that particular module. Yes, admin.php can be renamed to whatever you like. NOTE: We don’t normally provide direct support for .htaccess, just to let you know.

    Does that help?
