    I upgraded from EE 1.6.4 to 1.6.8. One problem I encountered was the lack of permissions to delete the folders/files in my cache directory. I didn’t think anything of it until after the update. Now when I log in, if I don’t have ext.tag_submit.php in the extensions folder, I get an error. If I remove it, the CP is blank.

    I have since changed permissions for the files in the cache folder and deleted them but I’m unsure of what to do next.

    Help is MUCH appreciated.

    Thanks.

    Try adding:

    $conf['allow_extensions'] = 'n';

    EDIT: It would help to tell you where… This needs to be added to the config.php file, in /system/config.php

    This will disable extensions, so that you can get into the CP. I imagine there is any issue with that extension not running properly in 1.6.8.

    Can you consult the developer, and see if they have an upgraded version?

    Thanks!

    I added an edit line in my last post. I forgot to mention where to add the line of code 😉

    Awesome! Thanks for the quick response. I was able to access the CP and reinstall Solspaces’s Tag Module, which fixed the issue.

    MUCH appreciated 😊
