    Hi-

    Love EE!
I have an active commercial license for an EE site, which I purchased after evaluating and installing the core version. I have everything I need working correctly with the Core version and don’t want to download and reinstall a commercial version if i don’t have to. How do I apply my paid commercial license to this core installation that is live?

    THANKS
    Shawna

    Hi Shawna,

It is possible to update a core installation to full version. However, if you’ve got everything set up properly and your site does not contravene the licence then there is no need to update and you can use that licence on another site.

    Cheers

Thank you for the info - the new site would require a commercial license based on useage.
I think i understand that i need to download the commercial version and replace those files and folders noted in your link. Nervous about doing this, wish i could just type in my license number somewhere instead.

    Hi Shawna,

Okay, if you email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) they’ll be able to clarify whether, since you’ve purchased a licence, you can just use your site as it is. Alternatively, since you will gain access to more features if you upgrade your site to a full version you might consider contacting one of the Professionals Network to help you with the upgrade.

    Cheers
