    Hello

I’ve a client who currently runs 2 sites from one custom built backend (by me about 10 years ago *shudder*).  Currently, both domains are on the same shared host, and share one mySQL database.

    Essentially,

SiteA.com has it’s own branding, and shows all content, from all categories
SiteB.com has it’s own branding, and shows only content from 1 category.

There are no members, comments or any of that kind of thing.  In EE terms it would be one Channel (items), with one Category Group, with only the Admin allowed to do anything in the CP.

What approaches to this would people recommend?  One EE install? Tricks with path.php? MSM?

I’m keen to hear your ideas!

    Thanks

if domains for one company - I thinks it will be enough one EE installation + trick with path.php or .htaccess (if domains looking to one folder)

    Thanks Max

Looks like a way!  One thing I am still puzzled about is how I set the 2nd domain up on my server.  My main server has WHM / cPanel.. do I add the second domain as another account?  As a parked domain? Addon Domain?

If it was on my VPS I assume I’d just set up the second as some sort of Vhost in a sub-dir of the first domain?

*scratches head.. must be too late for me!*

    Ta again!

Parked domain, point it to a directory on the primary domain which will host the path.php and index.php (and whatever files you need). Do you know how to setup a parked domain?
