How does your agency/company manage information/content internally (passwords, important documents, instructions, files)?
I’m thinking some kind of an installable collaboration portal…
Any suggestions?
Cheers!

installable collaboration portal
Sounds like a phancy phrase for “wiki” - which is what I use. My company is just me - but using the EE wiki for storing all that type of information has worked well.

Wiki is just a one of the functionalities I’d like 😊
I need something to share files as well (e.g. like web interface to windows shared drive running on Linux/Samba).
Locally installable 37 Signals Basecamp that can manage files stored on a Windows share (Linux/Samba) would describe what I’m after.
I guess I could just store files locally and use Basecamp/Expression Engine as wiki… but I’m hoping there is a more integrated solution out there.

we generally store them in a text file in the subversion repo for the project

Project Pier is much like base camp only free. 😉
In EE maybe Forums module?
Email and calendar? Exchange with public folders? ...depends what you have in your shop…
