    Hello monkeymedia-
The fact that you can’t view http://seriouscatering.com/test.html would indicate that there is something wrong with you server setup. I know you mentioned that you aren’t using .htaccess, but can you double-check this in the main http://seriouscatering.com directory?

Also, can you consult your host to see why you can’t see a simple HTML file in your domain root? They may be able to offer some insight. Thanks!

The simple html file displays fine at the root if I put it there. You asked me to put this file in the folder where I want to put seriouscatering files.

All the urls point to the same ip address. The root directory of EE install.

    http://www.monkeymedia.net
    http://www.monkeymediasoftware.com
    http://www.seriouscatering.com
    http://www.seriousfooderp.com

If we didn’t have EE installed they would all point to the exact same site. I want ee to recognize the url and serve up the appropriate files/weblog/site

This is working brilliantly for the first two urls. replicating this setup now seems imposible.

    monkeymedia,

Fatal error: Call to undefined method DB::escape_like_str() in C:xampphtdocssystemcpcp.sites.php on line 1078

Did you develop locally and then move everything to a live server?

Can you see the issue in the above error?

It looks like you may have missed a few control panel paths to update from your XAMPP setup to the live server setup. Can you double check all these please for each individual site?

We did not move from a development server to a live server. We purchased an extra site license last friday and overwrote the files as per instructions core, cp, and lang.

Is there a possibility that me may resolve this issue over the phone?

We do not offer telephone support.

But let’s back up for a moment.  For your seriouscatering site, you have the files in seriouscatering.com/catering, and if you visit that directory, does the MSM work?

It looks like it does, but I’m not 100% sure based on what’s being delivered, can you confirm?

Yes it is working as the tags are being rendered.

Ok,.  So to summarize: right now your MSM is working; but what you *want* is for seriouscatering.com/catering to be delivered at seriouscatering.com.

    Is that correct?

Excellent.  Ok - so the way to do that would be to have the domain pointing to the folder that should deliver that domain’s content.  That way path.php and index.php tell that domain “hey man, use EE”.

The domain pointing part of that is your hosting’s responsibility and is outside of EE’s control.  EE is doing everything that it can now, exactly as you have told it to.

Ok, that will have to be the way we do that. However, we have both http://www.monkeymedia.net and www.monkeymediasoftware.com pointing to the the exact same spot (EE root) and EE serves up the right site based on the URL. Is this an anomaly.

Each MSM Site requires its own path.php and index.php.  Honestly I don’t know your setup there; you may have a hack, or some form of rewriting, or some back-end domain pointing.  All I can tell you is what EE needs and that you’ve got it working on EE’s end.
