If I put in a 301 redirect such as this:

    redirect 301 /about <a href="http://www.example.com/about-us/">http://www.example.com/about-us/</a>

The URL that results is: http://www.example.com/about-us/?/about

Any htaccess gurus out there that can help me take out the question mark and everything behind it?

    I’m running build 20090723.

    TIA.

    The redirect portion looks fine.

It is probably something before this line in your rewrite. Are you using Force Query Strings in EE?

I am going to move this post to “How to” since it isn’t really a “Tech Support” issue.

    Thanks,
    Adam

Oh, sorry. When I edited, I removed the rewrite line.

    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteCond $1 !^(xres|images|eengine|themes|favicon\.ico|robots\.txt|index\.php) [NC]
    RewriteRule ^(.*)$ /index.php?/$1 [L]

I have this issue now, with moving to a new server I had to add a ? to the following line

    RewriteRule ^(.*)$ /index.php?/$1 [L]

This then adds the ? to the redirect rule.
