Seriously, Ryan and Kenny did a bang up job with the bits of information we gave them - it was incredible fun, and it allowed us to continue working with much less intrusion than it would had we tried to publish all of that content ourselves. Hats off, gentlemen.
We should also thank Dan Benjamin of Hivelogic, for his outstanding work on the EE Podcast!

Ok, official question: Is the forum sold seperatly or is it part of the 2.0 package?

A question about the licensing cost after reading the EE Insider. In the article there about licensing and costs, it says “If you purchased a version of EE earlier then 1.6.3, the upgrade fee will be more than $50. The price has not been set yet by the ‘Lab.”
However, no mention of this is made in the update. Does this mean that a decision was already made on not having any upgrade for versions earlier than 1.6.3, or is this issue still undecided on?
The question was also raised in the comments to the EE Insider article whether “purchased EE 1.6.3 or later” refers only to a purchase of the actual full license or if also applies to having stayed current via renewals. I am guessing the former, but it would be good to have it clarified. 😊

It applies to the original license purchase, not renewing the Download Account.
We’re making these decisions next week and will make them public probably the week after (depends on when they get finalized next week).
