Boyink gives good advice here 😉 I know that the mailing list does allow duplicate mail addresses. It looks like EE does prevent actually sending multiple times to the same address:

“Before sending the email, the program will check and remove all duplicate email addresses to ensure that multiple emails are not sent to the same user.”

but I have not tested this myself. Just give it a try.

I can not figure out how to do this test without sending to ACTUAL list of live people.

I tried adding duplicate email addresses to the test list through Mailing List “Batch Subscribe/Unsubscribe” field but it does weed out duplicates.

When I look at the ACTUAL lists, I do see duplicate email addresses there. These ACTUAL lists obtain data through online subscription form via FreeForm module.

The easiest way would be to simply create a new list (for testing purposes), and subscribe one of your existing addresses at least twice. I’ll try just that later tonight if I find the time.

You’ll just need to change the mailing list id for a little time to allow signing up to this testing list. Makes sense?

I do not know enough about EE from developer/programming side, so “Change the mailing list id for little time” is above my capabilities.

I already tried setting up a test mailing list then adding duplicate email addresses to it through “batch subscribe/unsubscribe”, but it did weed out the duplicates.

Do not know how to set up test sign up form test just to see how Mailing List module handles duplicates.

Would be grateful if you can do test and let me know outcome before I finalize action plan on future enewsletter/campaign.
