    Hi -

    I have a client who is not technical.
    Apart from a fully bilingual site, he wants the capability to write a single peice of content, and publish the content on two unique pages.

    Is this possible with EE ?

    For example, he would like to write an FAQ : one question, one answer - and when it gets published, this content would appear on the main FAQ page where all FAQs are displayed, but also display on another page. This other page cuold already exist as a container within the web site structure.

    Any ideas ? Thanks!

    Hi, David,

    He would publish content in one place, but you could easily set it up so that it appeared in several locations.  How you accomplish this, and when, depends on the project’s needs.

    Thanks Lisa - is there documentation on this ?
    Is it configurable through the back end GUI interface of EE ?

    And while we’re at it :
    Wordpress offers a plugin whereby I can write a peice of English content, and then I can use a simple drop down to say “Write this article in French” or whatever. My point being is that there is a one-to-one relationship between the French and English.

    Can EE offer something similar ?
    My clinet was to easily submit both languages - and have the entire site bilingual. Wordpress does a good job when it comes to post and pages - but the surround of the site is not supported well (header, footer, sidebar, navigation, etc). And I’ve had to hack a lot of it to make it work.

    Thanks - david

    Hi, David,

    The EE template system is well documented, and there are many tutorials on it as well.  But you will need to learn the templating system.  Here are some links to start with:

    * Video Tutorials
    * Getting started with ExpressionEngine
    * Train-EE
    * EEScreenCasts

    There are several multi-lingual options the language category of the wiki.

    I’d recommend giving EE a try.
