Is anyone out there doing an EE meetup in Chicago.  If not and there is enough interest I might try and put something together.

As far as I know,  there has never been an EE meetup in Chicago, though I’m sure there are a good number of EE developers here. I’d be interested if you put something together.

There are a lot of EE user in Chicago and we have been planning a meet-up at the Michigan Ave. Apple store. I was originally thinking this fall but there were so many meet-ups planned that I decided that next spring would be better.

If you are in the Great Lakes area and would be interested in a Chicago meet-up/Road show please respond to this post so we can get a better idea of what kind of turn out we could expect.

I’m in.  I had something less formal in mind, like a small monthly meetup - But a larger event would be fun as well.

Count me in… sure there’s a lot of meetups, but no reason to wait until 2010 to try to build-up a little community in Chicagoland!

Depending on the timing I’d consider driving to Chi-town for a meetup.

Looks like a possible 6 so-far.  I’m curious what area is most convenient to meet.  I’m just outside the city.  So downtown or North East/West Burbs work well for me.

I’m in the city on the north side. I could probably do suburbs but it would depend on the day/time.

As for a meetup place… I am in the Loop and can get just about anywhere.  Perhaps a weeknight in the next few weeks?  Even if it is “small but mighty” it is better than nothing at all.
