Wow! Now that was an update! Awesome! We have an official deadline for a release date anouncement! Thanks so much to the entire team and their hard work.

It almost sounds like you are firing up the big EE buzz machine Leslie. Thanks for all you all do, and the beta invite, where I’m told no pon-ee’s were harmed in the delivery via Pon-ee Express 😊

well this looks like a report of ups and downs!!!
Glad to see a set in stone date will be coming soon, and glad to see the Beta’s are starting to trickle out.
But not so happy that i am only 1 of 1200 with the chance of seeing this BETA being slim to none.
Not that I didn’t try and get into it as early as possible, but being in the UK, and having the news released at 1.30am makes it pretty damn hard! 8 hours later i applied at 9am - i suspect there were more than 300 app’s in that time. Well, we shall see if i made the short list or if my application finds its way into the later batches. (i disappointingly doubt it).

Crossing my fingers too ! I didn’t think there were gonna be so many applications, but that’s good news for the EE+CI community

Just for the record, the beta invites were not sent out on a first come, first serve basis.

ha ha ha ha, oh right. well than even less chance than even i thought!!! :-(
I guess i’ll have to wait till release date then. :-(

Thanks Les!
This was one of the most informative updates to date. It is encouraging that EllisLab has the confidence to establish a firm release date for 2.0. This has been a long journey, but I still maintain my first level of excitement when I read that 2.0 was to be built on CI. It seems as though that decision is going to bear some mighty tasty fruit 😉
I’m crossing my fingers for the phase II beta. I have some ideas to hatch! (and crossing my fingers on the TSS too…)
Good luck with the sprint!

:D I was in Munchen this week end, I don’t know if I was too drunk or tired but have seen no sign of any EE 2.0 Beta around :/

Exciting news! Has anybody from the first batch of beta 2 invites received theirs? Fingers crossed.
