    greetings

I have been trying to make flowplayer work with influxis and ee ALL DAY to no avail and while I am willing to pull all my hair out for a prize at the end, if there is known reason that EE doesn’t work in these circumstances I would appreciate that information!

    Thanks!

It may be helpful if you describe what problems you are actually experiencing.

Hello, thank-you for asking.  Yesterday I was just trying to make sure there wasn’t a known compatibility issue flowplayer/influxis/ee, today I am still pulling my hair out

I am trying to get flowplayer to work with expression engine and influxis to no avail. I can get flowplayer to play but no stream and no message.  Everything is in the same directory as the index page this code is on while I test.

Help, I’ve fallen and I can’t get up.

seems that your code has been truncated. I’ve not had any dealings with Influxis for sometime but the url given above looks incomplete

    'flowplayer.rtmp-3.1.2.swf'

I would imagine you need a protocol of sorts in there also?

Hi Steve, yes that is part of a (ellislabs) truncated pieces of javascript code.
Also I didn’t put a valid RTMP connection path to influxis account on purpose 😊

Will update this post when I know more.  Thank you!

That’s something you don’t see too often. Just because of that I’m willing to check out Influxis.

they have been quite prompt and responsive on many occasions.  The nice support person led me to older versions of the same files (3.1.0.swf, and .js) and it works, now.

Influxis are great - haven’t used them in quite a while certainly. A few years back I had a video blog on my website whereby I could record a video blog post via webcam and it would automatically encode the FLV and then display it nicely on my site (I had a deck of cards approach to the ui, which although was nice, wasn’t very accessible).

Haven’t touched it again since although if our church ever does live video streaming then they’ll be the only guys I’ll look at.
