Must say I am surprised this isn’t going to be implemented in 2.0. There are so many more sites that could be created if this feature were available.

If EE does not support multiple member groups, how do you propose going about giving members access to more than one protected area of a site?
Maybe worth a look: Restricted Area Module.

Thanks silenz. That is an interesting way of doing it and may just work. Will the module be ported to 2.0?

If there actually is demand it will be ported to 2.0. This one should actually be one of the easier ones to convert.

Thanks for the info. For anyone else’s sake, foxee allows for more membership flexibility with the subscriptions feature (this is more for paid suscriptions though). Also, HCC has been working on a collaboration module that is supposed to help with this as well, but that has not been released.
