Don’t know if it’s just me, but that just brought me to a Facebook form to Post to an Event - have you got a link to the actual event?

so i was wondering what people wanted to talk about, anything official for example?

Just been reading this and wondered how many of you blogged at all (or thought about starting blogging in the near future? We’re in the process of redesignig our own site to include a blog of sorts, and whilst I got a fair few ideas already for blog stories, I was wondering if people fancied a quick half hour brainstorming of other blog ideas? I kinda like the idea of taking general topics and between us blogging about the same questions / situations. We would then be able to refer / link to each other - create a bit of a community of our own and get visitors reading how we (and others) tackle certain problems etc.

thoughts on this, and other things people would like to talk about, of course welcome.

York is the best option.  On main line from London and you can do it in 1hr 50 mins from kings cross.  Can get a ticket for £65 return if you book early.

That has been a message sponsored by the York Tourist board!  Only joking of course.

Well, it won’t stay in Sheffield each time - by all means come along though and host the next one!.. if it does go to York however, it does need to be in the Samuel Smiths brewery pub.

I did notice that East Midland Trains have some kinda offer on at the moment for people coming from the south.

Unfortunately, I’m not going to be able to make this now due to a client meeting that I need to attend. :-(

Hope you have a good time though and I hope to make it to future meet-ups.

Looking at twitter so far, it looks like Andy (@moogaloo), Wil (@linssen), Jamie (@jamiepittock) and myself (@jameslindeman) are hopefully going this Thursday, anyone else think they might make it?

sounds like Chris Dowson (@dasgrafik) will be able to make it too with, to quote, “girlfriend might be in tow”.

A merry little gathering we shall have.

Very short notice, I know, but I’m moving the venue of the bEEr_UK meetup tonight to a far more accessible venue - the Sheffield Tap on Platform 1 of Sheffield Train Station.

With people coming in by train, it seems like the most obvious choice - its been getting good write ups, there’ll be a good a selection of beer and make for a more enjoyable evening - as wonderful as the dev cat is, it is a bit of a hike across town and not always very easy to find.
