[Editor’s note: This blog post introduces Ryan Irelan to our blog as a new strategic partner with EllisLab for the benefit of the ExpressionEngine community.  Ryan’s credentials are noteworthy: he is the senior developer for Happy Cog Studios, the production director for A List Apart Magazine, and the developer behind EE Insider.  Also, he throws a mean business lunch.

He has been gracious enough to accept our offer of managing the ExpressionEngine Wiki, to effectively put control of this community-owned resource in a community member’s hands.  Welcome aboard, Ryan, take it away! - Derek Jones]

The EE Forums are an integral part of our work developing websites with ExpressionEngine. It’s an invaluable resource when troubleshooting implementation issues and looking for unique ways to solve old challenges.

Allow me to say that its galactically cool to have your help spearheading this Ryan. Allow me to add that anyone who helps out earns my respect and esteem (and a coffee on me).

Echoing Derek’s sentiments here - I could not be happier to see my old pet project turned back over to the community and in the most capable of hands.

I am looking forward to seeing what great things this brings for the ExpressionEngine Wiki and incredibly happy to see Ryan heading up the effort.

Pretty neat news I must say. The EE Wiki could certainly use a good face-lift and Ryan, you’re a great person to spearhead it. 😊

Ah, the Wiki! This seems to mean that there is coming more up-to-date and current articles and good information about how using and making sites with EE. Good news i have to say. Would love to be part of the Team but the lack of my english keeps me away from clicking the email link

Feeling pretty exiting about what near future and next year brings us. I mean i have secretly hoped that EL-Team get’s more team-leaders and members to make EE stronger. Just were wondering that how you can do all tha work with so little team behind (in a good way that is).

Thumbs up to EL-Team for this one!

Ah yes, Lisa’s pet project on MediaWiki if I remember correctly before the EE Wiki addition was born.  How I remember the upgrade processes… 😊

As always thank you, Lisa, for starting the whole thing. 😊
