    I had to turn off MSM to get the main site working again as the site is live. Is there anyway we can schedule a time that I can get help on this? Maybe via IM or something on Monday?

    jbcobbs,

    OK I logged in and recreated your steps by setting up your second site for you.
    Had me stumped for a while so I looked more closely at the nGen extension.

    That’s where the problem is. Seemingly you cannot have the same name for a nGen file Field across multiple sites. So renaming your first site’s field short name cured your issues

    See here for more info

    Thank you. That worked for the main site. The new site is not working now though toli.feastoflittleitaly.com . I edited the field event_image in the entertainment field group and changed it to event_image_toli and changed the reference in my entertainment/index template as well. You should see the image correctly in the first entertainer on toli.feastoflittleitaly.com/Entertainment but its not showing.

    Another very strange side-effect is that the main menu dropdown is not working anymore.

    Is that still an nGen issue? What, exactly, is not working as expected? Where? Can you try to disable extensions globally and check without them?

    Im not sure if its a nGen issue or not but the second site that has been installed at toli.feastoflittleitaly.com is experiencing the same symptoms that I was experiencing on the main site except, this is not being solved by changing the nGen field name. Im not sure why the right side column of images is showing correctly as well but other content is not.

    And the menu dropdown not working on both sites is really weird because I would not think the menu would be effected by any outside factors. Ugh.

    What menu dropdowns are you referring to?  Did you disable extensions and check as Ingmar suggested?

    I did try disabling extensions. Did not help. If you look at the main menu of the site. A few of the menu items have black downward triangles… About, Activities, Vendors, Location. The drop-down submenus are not working.

    Check it with Firebug, it looks like you have a javascript issue.  😉

    Okay, with firebug I get this -

    syntax error. var MenuBar1 = new Spry.Widget.MenuBar(“MenuBar1”, );\n

    This is the code I believe it is parsing to get that.

    <!--
    var MenuBar1 = new Spry.Widget.MenuBar("MenuBar1", {imgDown:"http://www.feastoflittleitaly.com/themes/italian_festival/SpryAssets/SpryMenuBarDownHover.gif", imgRight:"http://www.feastoflittleitaly.com/themes/italian_festival/SpryAssets/SpryMenuBarRightHover.gif"});
    //-->

    Maybe it has to do with this? http://ellislab.com/forums/viewthread/123789/#622461 - either way. Not sure what to do.

    edit: Based on the mentioned forum thread, I made that javascript external instead and it worked fine. I had just updated to 1.6.8 as well so its probably something with that.

    I still am having the images issue though on the toli.feastoflittleitaly.com site.
