Can you be a bit more specific? What, exactly is not working? What version and build of both EE and the forum module are you using?

I’ve actually experiencing this weird issues with user permissions, I’ve setup as all the above correctly and yet they couldn’t see the forum category…

    I’ve used:

    ExpressionEngine 1.6.7 - © Copyright 2003 - 2008 - EllisLab, Inc.
Script executed in 0.0953 seconds   7 SQL queries used
    Build:  20090211

    ExpressionEngine Discussion Forum - Version 2.1.2 (20090723)

    larrya121,

There are permission settings for both forums and categories.

Can you confirm you have both set correctly?

    larrya121,

can you attach a screenshot of your permissions for both the forums and the category. Are the forums and category ‘live’ or ‘hidden’?

Also have you got a link to your forum?

    larrya121,

You have attached the screenshots for the Forum permissions, but there are also permissions for the Category, which you would get to clicking the permissions link in the dark grey.

    larrya121,

the middle and the widest size attachment one is actually the category permission,

The category permission table should only have 2 columns as per my last screenshot.

Make sure to click the permissions link in the dark grey.

    larrya121,

OK I had a look around and everything seems fine. I logged in as member wiliam_pku as you used in your example and attached is what I see which is exactly the permissions you set.
