Ha! Well I just went and seen the new live action movie G.I. Joe.

As a kid I played with G.I. Joes all the time.  I had huge bases, vehicles and just tons of those awesome moveable action figures. “sigh” I couldnt imagine what they would be worth today if I would of kept them, and kept them intact.

Anyways, as a fan of G.I. Joe the movie really kicked butt.  There were some really sweet scene sequences and transitions which made the action really cool.  The storylines for some of the Joes were pretty awesome,though their backgrounds had been changed a bit, mainly to fit the storyline for the movie.

Judging from the end of the movie. There will likely be a sequel.  Anyone else see it?  What did you think?

I believe the woman who played the baroness, is signed to do quite a few, she was on the colbert report or on the daily show…

I loved it and hated it at the same time, it was so awesome and kick ass all the time, that I kinda got bored of the awesomeness. It’s weird.

With that said: The leather suits + hot chicks = win.

I’m quite looking forward to this. I never played with GI Joe as such, I think I had Action Force, but the movie does look fun. I read somewhere there will be a movie based on MASK, which I’m pretty hyped about.

I’m really scared, I have to go see it soon though ... I was a GI JOe fanatic as a kid, like you ... I had jsut about everything until about the years for Cobra Emperor (at which point i was getting older) ... so far, between the ‘mech’ suits and the toy figures i’ve seen in target of cobra commander ... i’m a bit worried!

Baroness, Storm Shadow, Snake Eyes ... all good ... but please tell me that Cobra Commander wears a hood or a silver helmet for most of the movie, and this cross between darth vadar and scuba gear is like some major climax moment that they decided to make into his action figure. Please!  😊

1 to 10 i’ll give 7-8. There are some scenes that even a kid can tell its a CG.

About to go see it myself. I do have some youth sentiments there. I hear it isn’t the best story, but really this kind of movie is about the action.

I just saw the movie myself and thought it was pretty sweet. I also grew up with G.I. Joes so I had fun reminiscing…

I have a lot of childhood memories of GI Joe, so I think I have to see it. Even though my friends have said its terrible.

i need to find some time to see this film, got a lot of childhood memories of GI Joe too.

For me, it was all about nostalgia.  I’ll give it a 7/10.. not too good of a movie, but it brought back memories.
