Can’t get a new moblog to accept inbound emails.

I notice this thread: http://ellislab.com/forums/viewthread/101750/ suggests that the destination email must be associated with the domain. Is this true?

It can be, depending on the hosting setup.  Are you using gmail or a similar email service?  Can you setup an email coming from the domain and give that a try?

Ehh… Tried that. Direct cut-paste from the email client where I can see the inbound posts that aren’t being accepted.

Can you send emails through the communicate module?  Please go to:  Admin -> System Preferences -> Email Configuration and turn email debugging to ‘on’ and give that a try.

okay.  Do you have an email that’s not associated with that domain you can try?  Gmail can be tricky so something else would be good.

    mmcclung,

What actually happens when you send the email. Do you get the error in the CP or do you get a returned email in your client?

What Email settings are you using in the Moblog module, POP3?

Do you have a Subject Prefix set?
Is Authorization Required in Email set to yes or no?
Are you using the Valid ‘From’ Emails for Moblog feature?
