For those who haven’t checked recently, OpenX offers a hosted version as well.
Don’t get me started on how horrible that experience has been. Great idea. Poor implementation. Open X’s forums are ablaze with criticism and problems.
GAM they’re not.

@ Gramps
IMHO you’re being too kind about the GAM IU 😊 You’d think Google of all people could throw in some jQuery, Javascript, AJAX, etc. Something… Anything… That will make my life easier to use it. It’s exactly why I’m not a fan. Yahoo’s email blows gMail away - and Yahoo has unlimited storage. Don’t get me started about all the hype that Google spins up. They’re a great outfit but the too have their (UI / UX) flaws.
GAM is what it is. Once you wrap your head around how it works it gets the job done. I also think I got an email last week about a coming release that makes it easier to use or something.
Since it’s related to Google’s bread & butter I would think they’ll continue to enhance it, etc. For now we’ll just have to make the best of it.

I have to caution on OpenX, though.
They totally borked the upgrade path from 2.6.x to 2.8—they shut down access to all of my clients campaigns until I upgraded them, but their upgrade “wizard” can’t update all the tables.
I’m going to have to recreate all the campaigns by hand. And generate static reports for the clients as of the transition date, then start over.
Oh, if only EllisLabs had been involved…

Yep. Been there. Done that.
Stable upgrade has not been the OpenX strong suit. Price, maybe.
