I just found this by mistake, lol.
http://www.twittert.com (It’s funny because it’s a default CodeIgniter installation and I wasn’t expecting it).

It’s hard to tell
Unable to connect
Firefox can’t establish a connection to the server at http://www.twittert.com.
* The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
moments.
* If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer’s network
connection.
* If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

You are seeing you localhost, domain just passive redirect to http://localhost/
#4 / Jul 02, 2009 4:23pm
How did that happen? That’s weird lol.
#5 / Jul 02, 2009 4:32pm
But my localhost has content… and I can access it directly via localhost 😖
#6 / Jul 02, 2009 4:40pm
hmm, I don’t really know you configuration, but to me its showing 127.0.0.1 (localhost) root.

I was suddenly worried for a moment lol. Yeah, it is redirecting to the localhost, not sure how it is done but its pretty clever.
#8 / Jul 02, 2009 5:12pm
I guess maybe they’re just doing
function index()
{
redirect('http://localhost');
}lol
#9 / Jul 02, 2009 10:06pm
It’s not a redirect. The domain is simply pointing to IP address 127.0.0.1, You are viewing your own localhost webserver.

It’s only funny to those that have a localhost set up. Stop your service and load that page again. That’s what everyone else sees.
