Richard, let us know if that worked for you. Are you using any third-party extensions?

Yep he’s using File by Mark Huot. Pretty sure that’s the problem. That or a formatting field type somewhere isn’t setting the field format correctly so that’s why it is looking for the file called pi..php as it doesn’t have a type to go on.

Well, the obvious suggestion, then, would be to try to disable extensions globally. Can you do that for me, Richard?

You’re absolutely right. Sorry for taking this thread in such a long direction. It was just that I had seen these types of things before when using the File extension. Will definitely bow down now though as I should have mentioned that first, sorry.

Hi guys,
Thanks Ingmar for your input. I used a wide variety of addons on this project which is why I wasn’t relishing the prospect of tracking this one down!
Fortunately, the problem does seem to be the one that Mark pointed towards, and I have added the extra line of code as suggested here by D-Rock. It does seem to have stopped the errors I was getting when publishing/editing the entry, so all is right in the world again… for now! 😊
Many thanks Mark for puzzling this one out and realising that it might be connecting to an already documented issue.

Absolutely no problem, any time.
Just glad it’s all sorted for you now. Has bitten quite a few people on the hind that one (me included at one stage) so just glad that it was a nice easy fix.
Best wishes,
Mark
