    Hello,

When I try to create a thumbnail (resize image button) of an image uploaded via the “upload file” option in a new post I get the following error:

Error 500 - Internal server error

An internal server error has occured!
    Please try again later.

Any ideas what is going on?

Any help would be gratly appreciated

    Thanks
    Aldo

    Aldo,

What version and build of EE are you using?
Have you set correct permissions of 777 for your upload folder?
    Are you using any extensions?
Are you using a htaccess file to remove index.php?

Can you turn on error reporting for me and see if you get any new errors when trying to upload the image?

    Hi John,

I’m running EE 1.6.7 and the only extension running is tome. index.php hasn’t been renamed or removed. Permissions are fine, I can upload files but I can’t creat thumbnails for them. It seems to be a problem with the size of the file uploaded, I just managed to get it working with small files. I’ll turn on error reporting and let you know what errors I get.

    cine_code,

Yes size would be an issue when uploading files and are dependant on server settings and the image protocol you are using. Increasing PHP memory can help in some cases but lets see what errors you receive first
