you are right about the wooden seat. the interface has not changed massively in a few years, and certain elements are tricky to remember where they are.
The interface does feel old Vs the new WP2.8 generation, born a very short time back by comparison. But this is why the EE2.0 release is going through extensive UI testing at this very moment (or so the article suggests)... the whole purpose is to improve this based on more current technologies - much like WP did with 2.8.
If the problem is that WP was out sooner than EE, then hey, one had to come first! We could be pointing out MT or Joomla had an earlier release than WP and did many of things WP did and many others too - some better than the current WP at the time… but again that is not the point, each to their own…
But again going on about circles, i am not sure what the point is… WP is looks nice, has a good interface, is easy to use. Hence, EE is improving - and is that not what is currently happening? Perhaps i am wrong? EE2 is a myth?
what is actually trying to be achieved here? again to my previous post. specifically what do you want that is not already being done / considered in the EE2 release? (that we currently know of?)
